Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges between $80,080 – $110,110, with eligibility for an incentive target of 5 % which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Position Summary

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for understanding key business and people strategies, practices and processes, and making recommendations to ensure we create a productive environment that delivers top diverse talent at the right time to achieve results. This role also creates, supports and helps deploy HR processes aligned to business and HR goals. The position partners with HR Managers, the broader HR leadership team, HR COEs, and at times with aligned business units. The Generalist is accountable for key projects related to people strategy, enabling desired talent outcomes through HR reporting and metrics management, supporting deployments, and supporting key HR processes such as performance management, succession planning and engagement action planning. This centralized resource supports key HR programs and ensures smooth and efficient business operations.

Job Responsibilities (You Will)





- Provide people insights through consolidation of metrics across systems and tools to tell a comprehensive story of the team‑member life cycle; use data to recommend action steps.
- Identify and implement solutions to close business gaps and create a competitive advantage, including workforce planning, initiatives, and solutions that drive employee engagement, leadership onboarding, growth, and business results.
- Partner with HR Managers to support business planning, implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with overall business goals.
- Support the HR Coordinator with annual review, monitoring, researching, recommending and deploying required changes to HR policies and procedures.
- Apply a continuous‑improvement mindset, streamline HR processes, and implement improvements to increase productivity.
- Demonstrate change leadership by reinforcing critical behaviors to sustain change through effective communication.
- Assist in creation and support of programs that foster the desired organization; coordinate team‑related events.
- Partner with Team Member Experience specialists to provide guidance and coaching to leaders on handling employee relations matters.
- Provide support and coaching to people leaders on HR matters such as performance management, recruitment and selection, development opportunities, and employee relations.
- Maintain a well‑rounded understanding of relevant provincial employment legislation and counsel managers as required.
- Assist leaders in identifying high‑potential talent and preparing development plans and growth opportunities.
- Develop and distribute pertinent HR communications, including workshops and presentations, as required.
- Build a trusting and respectful relationship with business leaders and team members to gather feedback and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.

Education/Experience (You Have)

- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience, with 3‑5 years of HR experience.
- Working knowledge of Human Resource disciplines such as staffing, employee development, compensation, advantages, employee relations, management practices, health, safety and worker’s compensation.
- Demonstrated experience in providing proactive solutions to human resource challenges.




- Ability to analyze and diagnose problems, develop alternative solutions and recommend effective courses of action.
- Exercise good judgment in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters.
- Build relationships and influence both within and outside the organization across all levels.
- Communicate effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings, fostering an open, honest and trusting environment.
- Proficiency in systems, Excel, Word, PDF and other Microsoft Office software; familiarity with SAP or similar HRIS systems.
- Effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in planning, leading and implementing HR initiatives.
- Strong critical‑thinking skills and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Project‑management skills and advanced MS Office proficiency, especially in Excel.
- Experience working in a multi‑location environment is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to various locations; average 3‑4 trips per year.
