Team

The Live Tools team works on Star Citizen and maintains internal products that improve engineering workflows.

Hex is an administrative tool developed by LIT for system operators and game masters. It communicates with live game services to manage player accounts and systems in real time.

Role Purpose

As a Senior Full‑Stack Developer, you will own the product, work closely with designers and engineers, and promote core internal products.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with designers and engineers to ensure component robustness from the design phase.
- Play a key role in promoting our core internal products, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries.
- Interact easily and regularly with our users through strong communication skills.
- Contribute your perspective on technical design, UI, and overall product vision as an agile team member.
- Take ownership of the product, constantly seeking improvements with a keen eye for detail.
- Operate as a versatile, autonomous, and versatile developer, thriving on tackling a variety of technical challenges.

Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of development experience (75% front‑end / 25% back‑end).
- Strong front‑end development skills (React or equivalent).
- Experience with a UI component library (e.g., Material UI).
- Good knowledge of Apollo and GraphQL.
- 2+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of MySQL databases.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience working with third‑party APIs (e.g., Elasticsearch, Okta).
- Proficiency with Git and code review best practices.
- Familiarity with GRPC and Kafka (a plus).
- Experience with tools like ViteJS (a plus).
- Strong understanding of technical constraints and ability to collaborate closely with dev and game teams.
- Good grasp of security best practices for large‑scale projects.
