Territory Manager – Northern Ontario Full time | Permanent | Remote/Field-Based About the Role A leading manufacturer and distributor of handheld outdoor power equipment and power tools is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to cover Northern Ontario. This is an established territory — the previous incumbent retired — meaning you'll inherit an existing client base while being expected to actively hunt and develop new business opportunities. We're looking for a hunter , not a farmer. The ideal candidate must reside in or around Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins , or anywhere in between. Why Join Us Competitive base salary: $75,000 – $90,000 Commission structure with earnings potential of $50,000+ above base 100% Employer-paid Group Benefits — health, dental, vision, paramedical, and disability Defined Contribution Pension Plan with up to 6% employer match Annually funded Personal or Health Spending Account Paid vacation, sick/personal days, and a paid holiday shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Company vehicle for business and personal use Company credit card for fuel and expenses Collaborative, people-first culture with community giving initiatives Key Responsibilities Sales Growth: Strengthen existing dealer and retail partnerships while identifying and closing new business to grow market share across the territory Channel Development: Expand beyond traditional outdoor power equipment (OPE) retail into tool houses, hardware stores, and other non-traditional channels Dealer Support: Deliver training and education on promotions, new products, policies,
and internal systems Product Promotion: Engage directly with contractor groups — landscapers, municipalities, and government agencies — to drive product adoption Cordless/Commercial Solutions: Collaborate with the commercial solutions team to support the transition to battery-powered tool platforms Events & Brand Presence: Identify and participate in regional trade shows and industry events to strengthen brand visibility Account Management: Assist the credit team in managing and maintaining current customer accounts in good standing Reporting: Submit regular field activity, travel, and internal reports on schedule Asset Management: Responsibly maintain all corporate assets including vehicle, phone, computer, and demo equipment Qualifications Bilingual – French and English (required) Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in a mechanical or technical environment Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field Familiarity with the Outdoor Power Equipment industry is a strong asset Experience presenting and delivering product training to groups Proficiency with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent) Competency in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work weekends as required Comfortable with significant travel throughout the territory Target Industry Sectors Candidates with existing relationships or experience in any of the following sectors are strongly encouraged to apply: OPE distribution, small engine equipment, power tools, industrial supply, equipment rental, or related B2B channels. #J-18808-Ljbffr
