Clinical Nutrition - Adult Eating Disorders

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for the nutritional assessment and management of patients. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Nutrition for profession and administration needs and the Program Manager for program-specific needs.

Primary responsibilities include the assessment of nutritional status/nutritional needs, and the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans to meet these needs in a patient-and family-centred model of care. To provide these services, the successful incumbent will collaborate with other health care providers and function as a key member of interdisciplinary teams.

Temporary Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $48.19 per hour - $60.23 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Duration: Up to May 2027

Qualifications

- Successfull completion of a Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Food Science or related subject acceptable to the hospital
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required
- Membership in Dietitians of Canada required
- 1 year recent related experience, preferrably in an acute healthcare setting
- Recent experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition preferred
- Demonstrated skills in patient education and ability to support the advancement of dietetic practice-based research and knowledge
- Ability to promote a high standard of professional practice by disseminating nutrition knowledge and information
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development related to best practice in clinical nutrition
- Proficient computer skills including word processing and data management software
- Ability to recognize own feelings, express them fully and constructively manage own feelings in challenging and emotionally charged situations
- Ability to express ideas clearly,



confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
- Ability to stay effective and resilient when dealing with adverse circumstances and multiple demands
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
