BCIT’s School of Transportation is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Faculty, Motorcycle Technician Program. This position will join the Automotive department at our Burnaby campus and teach in the Motorcycle Group.
Duties & Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Instruction to apprenticeship and/or entry level students.
- Short-term coverage for full-time Faculty release.
- Preparing for classroom presentations and practical demonstrations.
- Working collectively with our Department Heads.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have a Red Seal Endorsement as Motorcycle Technician for a minimum of 5 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical skills necessary to instruct the curriculum.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collegial manner within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop course resources and training technologies.
- Current computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point and a Learning management system (LMS): ability to manage files located on a database.
- Provincial Instructor Diploma or previous post-secondary instructing experience is an asset.
- Supervisory experience an asset.

Salary Range Salary Range: $78,133 - $115,805 per annum.
Additional Salary Information Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.
