BEHAVIOUR INTERVENTIONISTIndependent Contractor – Port Coquitlam

We are looking for a Behaviour Interventionist to join our team to support an adorable 7 year old boy diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

He loves physical play, such as running, jumping, and climbing. He also loves pretend/creative play, and trains. He is energetic, silly, and fun!

The position offers 2 hours a day, 1 day a week, supporting at the family home located at Mary Hill Lane, Port Coquitlam, V3C 4C3.

Your responsibilities will include

➢ Implementing 1:1 ABA intervention sessions.

➢ Accurately recording and tracking progress data.

➢ Engaging with kiddo in fun, creative, energetic play.

➢ Communicating with all team members in a timely and professional manner both in- person and

electronically.





➢ Maintaining respectable and professional boundaries with families.

➢ Training and ongoing support is provided by a BCBA.

➢ Once trained, you will be implementing 1:1 sessions with the child, in their home independently.

➢ Monthly supervision will be provided in-person by the BCBA.

➢ Ongoing support by the BCBA can be provided at any time through email, call, or messaging.

Qualifications that we are looking for

➢ You must enjoy supporting and playing with young children with special needs.

➢ Have the desire to make a difference in a child's life.

➢ Be compassionate, patient, creativity and have great play skills.

➢ Fluent in spoken English

➢ Able to work independently.

➢ Possess a punctual, reliable, conscientious work ethic.

➢ You MUST be willing to complete a recent Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
