Senior Mining Engineer – Underground (Remote, Canada)

Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity

Skyline Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected mining consulting firm to identify a Senior Mining Engineer with strong underground experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering high-quality technical work across a range of mining projects, with strong exposure to NI 43-101 studies, mine planning, and strategic project development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support underground mine design and planning activities
- Contribute to NI 43-101 technical reports, including mining sections and OPEX/CAPEX estimates
- Develop mine schedules, layouts, and optimization strategies
- Utilize industry-standard software including Deswik, AutoCAD, and Vent Sim
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geology, geotechnical, and processing
- Provide technical input across scoping, PEA, PFS, and FS-level studies
- Support project delivery and client engagement as required

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline




- 10–20+ years of experience in mining engineering
- Strong background in underground mining (open-pit experience considered an asset)
- Experience working on or supporting operating mines (operator or site-based consulting)
- Proficiency with Deswik (essential), and familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Vent Sim
- Experience contributing to NI 43-101 reports (mining sections, cost estimates)
- Professional designation (P. Eng.) or eligibility in Canada
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote consulting environment
