EB Games has an exciting new chance for a Junior Buyer to join our Store Support Centre in Brampton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and three to five years buying experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Managing vendor relations and negotiations under the supervision of the Merchants, including marketing negotiations, price adjustments, and stock-balancing and overall account profitability;
- Forecasting and securing funds from each applicable supplier for maximum attainment of marketing accruals in accordance with company marketing budget initiatives and optimizing vehicle usage for full profit potential;
- Sourcing vendor partnerships/developing marketing plans and promotions for new and existing products – Measuring and reporting return on investment/effectiveness of programs;
- Ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining gross margins;
- Setting retail POS prices within departmental margin and price point criteria;
- Securing price protections, back-end-rebates and return authorization for products with declining sales;
- Supervising the implementation of markdowns and subsequent/corresponding price changes;
- Tracking new market/product developments and trends then implementing changes, additions, deletions to product assortment based on market, product analysis and mix presentation;




- Consistently communicating to the Merchant/Director all inventory management factors influencing daily, monthly, quarterly, and fiscal sales, including but not limited to launch plans, new release impacts, pricing adjustments, market, and national promotions;
- Tracking and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) with sales, gross profitability, marketing achievements, market share position, inventory levels, on order positions, in-stock/availability percentage, SLM/LCM ratios, and Open-To-Buys to ensure goals and objectives are being met monthly, quarterly, and fiscally;
- Managing Top 100 to 200 in-stock ratio for category;
- Executing purchase order management and restock orders;
- Continually updating and tracking all orders of both new release and restock and ensuring correct dates and orders;
- Overseeing the resolution of purchase order, price protection, and back-end-rebate and RTV issues with vendors;
- Representing Department in company committees and industry events when required.

The skills and experience required for success in this role are:

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and strong knowledge of the gaming industry and you should possess excellent reading, writing and communications skills, as well as strong analytical, math and critical thinking skills combined with a working knowledge of Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
