Our client, a reputable and highly regarded General Contractor is looking to add a Superintendent to their team in the Lower Mainland of BC. This General Contractor has a reputation for delivering high quality construction projects. They are looking to add a Superintendent to oversee a wood frame multifamily building in New Westminster, BC that is about to start.
As Superintendent you will oversee the construction of a 6-storey wood frame apartment building comprised of 90 units in New Westminster. Reporting into the Project Director, the role will involve working closely with the Assistant Superintendent and CSO to ensure quality control, trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, safety administration and reporting of the project. You will maintain long standing positive relationships with several subtrades and consultants which the company have developed over time. Due to the company’s positive reputation amongst vendors and trade partners their sites are well run and adequately staffed thus making the life of a Superintendent much easier.
To be considered for this opportunity we require a minimum of 5+ years of previous experience in a Superintendent role working for either a General Contractor or Developer/Builder in Metro Vancouver. A proven track record of delivering wood frame multi-family projects successfully is a must. We require someone with a stable work history, excellent communication skills and valuable trade knowledge. Journeyman carpenter or another related construction trades qualification considered an asset. Experience using Procore software would be very useful.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to oversee a project from start to finish and make it their own.
