Our client, a well?established, privately held Canadian industrial organization, is seeking a detail?oriented Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in month?end close, financial reporting integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives as the organization continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities:

- Support month?end close and core accounting activities, including the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries in accordance with established close timelines.
- Perform timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with standard accounting processes and internal control requirements.
- Enhance reconciliation frameworks through continuous improvement of templates, control checklists,



and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items and variances, escalating issues as appropriate and ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to monthly financial statement review packages, supporting accuracy and completeness across key accounts.
- Leverage Excel, macros, and reporting tools to streamline close and reconciliation processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
- Support process improvement initiatives and assist with the integration of new business units into the company 46;s accounting, reporting, and controls framework.

Qualifications:

- A CPA candidate in process, designation not required
- Strong Month? End Close & Reconciliation Expertise
- Strong Excel skills (including advanced functions or macros) and a proactive mindset toward automation and efficiency
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred
- Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems (Blackline preferred)
- A personable approach and the ability to work effectively with diverse communication styles.
