We are looking for a Technical Writer for a 6 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, process documentation, manuals, and reference materials
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand content for diverse audiences
- Develop skilled Power Point presentations for training sessions, executive briefings, and project updates
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical teams, and stakeholders to gather information and ensure content accuracy
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to documentation standards and branding guidelines
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect system, process, or product changes
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar documentation-focused role
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, well-structured, and visually engaging Power Point presentations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Experience working in IT, software development, or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Share Point)
- Experience creating training materials or instructional content
