Adecco is currently hiring a Senior Software Developer / Technical Specialist (Azure & Integration) for a full-time contract opportunity based in Ottawa. This hybrid role requires on-site presence approximately 12 days per month and the ability to obtain a Reliability Clearance.

This position is ideal for a senior-level developer with strong experience in enterprise systems, cloud migrations, and integration modernization, who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys working on complex, high-impact initiatives.

- Salary: $125,000 – $180,000

- Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid – 12 days/month on-site)

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (overtime may be required)

- Job Type: Full-time | Temporary | 1.5-year contract

Responsibilities

- Act as a senior technical contributor within Scrum teams, providing hands-on development and technical support

- Support Azure cloud migration initiatives, including application and integration migration, environment design, and post-migration stabilization

- Modernize and migrate integration flows (e.g., Mule Soft) into Spring Boot-based microservices

- Provide senior-level support for enterprise data platforms, including upgrades, impact analysis, remediation, and coordination with vendors

- Contribute to Dev Ops practices including CI/CD pipeline implementation, deployment automation, and version control strategies

- Support and enhance testing strategies including unit, integration, and system testing

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize system performance

- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks

- Collaborate with technical leads, product owners, and architects to support project delivery

Qualifications

- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada





- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise environments

- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms and integration systems (e.g., Markit EDM or similar)

- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Azure cloud migrations

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices architecture

- Proven experience modernizing enterprise integration platforms

- Experience with enterprise messaging systems such as IBM MQ or Red Hat AMQ

- Hands-on experience with Dev Ops tools and practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments

- Robust SQL and database optimization skills

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Knowledge of financial markets, securities, or reference data domains

- Experience with .NET and IIS environments

- Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives

- Must be eligible to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance
