SALARY: The hourly rate for this role is $19.85/hour

SHIFT: rotating shifts; Day Shift, Afternoon Shift, Overnight Shift

OVERTIME ELIGIBILITY: This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate and monitor high speed equipment

- Load supplies into machinery

- Record process data

- Perform process quality control checks

- Execute industrial cleaning and sanitation





- Engagement and participation in continuous improvement activities (5S, VPO, PDCA’s, Shift hand overs)

- Responsible for all HACCP and EH&S; procedures in the department which includes but is not limited to: FG pallet inspections, trailer inspections, forklift inspections and cleaning

- The operators may be required to train other operators

- All other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONSWork Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent

Mindset

- Willingness to work with others (packaging department, employees, truck drivers, couriers, etc.)

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

- Willingness to learn supply chain related computer programs

- Attention to detail

- Willingness to learn and improve processes

- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenance

Physical Requirements

- Engage in physical activities and manual labor as requested, including but not limited to : prolonged standing, walking, lifting pushing, twisting, pulling and bending

- Climb a ladder/stairs.

- Work on slippery floor

- Lift object higher than the shoulders

- Operate a motorized equipment

- Exposure to noise

- Exposure to vibration

- Participate in the hearing conservation program.

- Ability to wear all PPE as required: including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)

- Able to work shift work (Day, afternoons, and midnights)
