Dasro is looking for a Procurement Specialist (IT) - Senior for one of its clients in Edmonton, Alberta.

Term: 2026-06-01 to 2027-05-31 (12 months)

Location: Edmonton, AB (Primarily remote, occasional onsite meetings may be required)

Working hours: 7.25-hours/day

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead complex competitive procurement processes, including the development and execution of RFPs, NRFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and RFXs
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including evaluations, proponent debriefings, and complex contract negotiations
- Draft, review, and manage vendor contracts within a complex workplace to ensure legal and operational compliance
- Provide strategic procurement advice to internal clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional project teams
- Apply Canadian public sector procurement principles, including trade agreements (NWPTA, CETA, CFTA, CUSMA), procurement legislation, and contract law
- Support IT-specific procurement initiatives involving software, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and digital platforms
- Support modernization and digital transformation programs through strategic sourcing and vendor selection
- Perform financial and risk assessments, including the evaluation of cost models, pricing structures, and contract-related risks

Mandatory Qualifications:





- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, Science, Procurement, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading RFPs, NRFPs, RFIs, RFQs, RFXs, evaluations, debriefings, and contract negotiations
- Minimum 8 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and managing vendor contracts in a complex environment
- Minimum 8 years of experience providing procurement advice to internal clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Minimum 8 years of experience procuring goods/services under Canadian public sector entities (including trade agreements and legislation)
- Minimum 7 years of experience applying NWPTA, CETA, CFTA and/or CUSMA to procurement activities

Desired Qualifications:

- Possession of an SCMP, CPPB, CPPO, CSPM, or equivalent professional procurement designation
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting modernization, digital programs, or cloud-based solutions
- Minimum 5 years of experience evaluating cost models, contract risks, and pricing structures
- Minimum 5 years of experience specifically procuring software, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, integrations, or digital platforms
