The CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) provides an innovative, competency-based learning program to more than 15,000 learners in Western and Northern Canada who are completing their formal education towards certification as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada. CPAWSB delivers the CPA Preparatory Courses and the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) through a combination of online distance learning and face-to-face modules which prepare candidates for the national Common Final Examination (CFE). The School is dedicated to providing excellent service in meeting learners’ education and support needs and to working effectively with everyone.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Assessor to join our Transcript Assessment team. Reporting to the Manager, Transcript Assessment, the Assessor plays a key role in evaluating domestic and international academic credentials for CPA program eligibility.

Please note: This is a 12-month term position.

Key Responsibilities

Includes but are not limited to:

- Assess post-secondary transcripts using CPA Canada’s Harmonized Education Policies and Competency Map.
- Communicate assessment results and guide applicants on next steps.
- Maintain accurate records in SLMS with detailed evaluator notes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless admissions process.
- Respond to applicant inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in system testing.

What the Successful Candidates Will Bring

- Minimum two years of office experience with increasing responsibility.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is an asset.




- Knowledge and familiarity with post-secondary institution programs.

This role is eligible for hybrid work. The CPAWSB is based primarily in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. If based outside of these centers, the successful candidate may be required to travel to a CPAWSB office from time to time, as required.

The salary range for this role is $50,700 to $76,000. We recognize the value of directly comparable experience.
