This position is covered by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Collective Agreement.
Applications are invited for a Permanent Full-Time Facility Operator. The full time schedule is 8 hours / day, 40 hours per week. Start date will be determined upon the successful candidate’s availability.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Facilities, the Facility Operator works collaboratively to ensure the safe, efficient, and comfortable operations of the schools and facilities located in Rocky Mountain House, Caroline, Condor, Leslieville, Drayton Valley and Breton.
The preferred candidate will be able to work both independently or as part of a crew dealing with multiple work orders and priorities. The successful candidate will possess good public relations and communication skills. For complete details of job description please click here
Competitive compensation and wages are in accordance with the IUOE Collective Agreement. Comprehensive health benefits including dental, extended health care, vision, life/add and extended disability are available. Other benefits inclusive to the position are participation in a defined registered Pension Plan administered by Alberta Pensions, and a Health Spending Account.
The current pay range is $35.88 - $38.54 per hour with increases of two percent each year for September 2026 and September 2027.

The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of Journeyperson certification or Fifth Class Power Engineering certification, current summary of driving record, and satisfactory and current (within six months Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector as conditions of employment.
