We are currently seeking a Spanish as a Foreign Language (SLE) Teacher to join our academic team in Toronto, Canada. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a diverse, multicultural environment while supporting students to achieve solid language outcomes through engaging and effective instruction.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Spanish as a Foreign Language (SLE) Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering enjoyable, well‑structured lessons that maximise learner outcomes. You may teach a range of levels depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to teaching, you may also support assessment, material development, and wider academic or social programme activities as part of the English Path centre.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, deliver and assess Spanish language lessons aligned with course objectives and learner needs
- Ensure learning outcomes are met through effective teaching and assessment
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and academic administration
- Develop, update and improve teaching materials where required
- Use a variety of teaching methods and classroom technology
- Attend academic meetings and work closely with the Centre and Academic Manager
- Participate in professional development sessions
- Undertake additional duties to support the wider work of English Path Language Schools
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
✔ Teaching licence or recognised qualification in Spanish or languages
✔ Bachelor’s degree in any subject (Education or Spanish preferred)
✔ Experience teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language
✔ Structured and creative approach to lesson planning
✔ Experience teaching in both in‑person and online environments
✔ Confident use of classroom technology
✔ Professional, organised and student‑focused approach
✔ Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse learners
✔ Positive, flexible and collaborative team player
