ersg is seeking a French speaking Prevailing Wage Specialist to support renewable energy construction projects in Canada! The ideal candidate would be based on the east coast of Canada, open to occasional travel, proficiency level French, and previous experience with payroll and compliance.
This role plays a key part in ensuring adherence to prevailing wage laws and standards across projects, coordinating with site and project teams, and maintaining accurate documentation for audit readiness. Some travel to active construction sites will be required to conduct orientations and support compliance reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to prevailing wage regulations and standards across projects; assist with audits to maintain compliance at local levels.
- Policy Communication: Convey established prevailing wage policies and procedures to project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with site and project managers, HR, legal,
and finance teams to embed compliance in all project operations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams on prevailing wage data tracking and archiving procedures.
- Documentation Management: Support project teams with accurate and timely completion of prevailing wage documentation, wage rate determinations, and related records.
Qualifications:
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and self-motivation with a commitment to producing quality work.
- Native/bilingual proficiency in English, Full qualified proficiency in French.
- Experience in construction or renewable energy projects, especially wind, preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Procore Project Management Software; experience with Salesforce and SAP is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
