310 – Teaching Literacy for a Better World (Pre-K to Grade 8)
This course prepares future elementary and middle years teachers to support and instruct students, as readers and writers; to grow through progressive and genre pedagogies; to accommodate transience through the literacy program; and to offer literature from a variety of cultures. Position Requirements
This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT.
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset. Preference may be given to local candidates.
