Before You Apply Read This Carefully
Your knowledge will be tested and that’s a good thing.
If a technology appears on your resume, we expect real-world, working understanding not surface-level familiarity. We’re not looking for someone who has simply “heard of” a platform.
We’re looking for someone who has built it, fixed it, secured it, and taken ownership of it in live environments and takes pride in doing it right.
Requirements
- Saskatoon-based applicants only
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid driver’s license required (client site visits)
Who We Are
REDARX Cyber Group is a cybersecurity-first MSP built on Zero Trust principles and aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks.
We work with organizations that take security seriously and we’ve built a team that does the same. If you’re passionate about doing things properly, solving real problems, and raising the bar you’ll fit in here.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for designing, securing, maintaining, and improving client environments across Microsoft 365, on-prem infrastructure, and hybrid systems.
You are expected to:
- Take ownership
- Think critically
- Identify risk before it becomes an incident
- Deliver work to a high technical standard
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead deployments, remediation, and improvement projects across client environments
- Engineer and enforce Zero Trust security controls
- Manage and secure Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune environments
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
- Oversee endpoint security (EDR, MDR, patching, and hardening)
- Identify vulnerabilities and execute remediation plans
- Participate in incident response and post-breach recovery
- Document systems, changes, and environments clearly and accurately
- Work directly with clients to provide high-trust, high-value technical guidance
What You Must Actually Know
If it’s on your resume, expect to be tested on it.
Core Technical Requirements
- Active Directory (DNS, replication, Group Policy, authentication)
- Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Conditional Access
- Intune and endpoint management
- Networking fundamentals (routing, VPNs, firewalls)
- Core security principles (least privilege, MFA, Zero Trust)
- Backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Windows Server administration
Strongly Preferred
- SIEM or log analysis experience
- Incident response experience
- Familiarity with frameworks such as CIS and NIST
What We’re Looking For
- Strong troubleshooting ability and sharp technical judgment
- Someone who wants to figure things out, not pass them along
- Ability to perform under pressure and still own the outcome
- Transparent communication with both technical and non-technical clients
- High standards for security, documentation, and execution
- Someone who actually cares about doing great work
Why Join REDARX
- Work on real client environments — not lab scenarios
- Be part of a team that takes cybersecurity seriously
- Grow into advanced engineering and security roles
- Operate in a high-performance environment with real expectations
- Build skills that matter in real-world infrastructure
Final Note
This role is for someone who wants to be challenged, take ownership, and build real, high-level technical capability in a security-first MSP environment.
If you’re excited by that we want to hear from you.
