Job Title: Business Consultant - Senior

Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: CAD 100- 110/Hour + HST

Job Description – Information Management / Risk & Impact Assessment

Required Work Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios and environments.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in business writing, communication, and documentation, including reports, briefing materials, and formal assessments.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Artificial Intelligence technologies, such as machine learning (ML) or natural language processing (NLP).

Experience & Skills

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Alberta Health Information Act (HIA), including development and support of related artifacts such as:
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
- Security Threat Risk Assessments (STRA)
- Business Impact Assessments (BIA)
- (10+ years preferred)
- Extensive experience coordinating information management, privacy impact, and security risk assessments within IT projects (10+ years).
- Experience developing training materials to support business, privacy, or compliance initiatives (5+ years).
- Experience developing training plans to support organizational change and adoption (3+ years).
- Demonstrated experience with change management practices, including stakeholder readiness and impact analysis (5+ years).
- Strong background in information management concepts, privacy, and security, including experience with:
- Access to Information Act (ATIA)
- Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), formerly FOIP
- (10+ years preferred)
- Experience developing information management policies,



standards, and best practices (5+ years).
- Hands‑on experience implementing data security and privacy controls, including:
- Security policies
- Data de‑identification and anonymization
- Data audits
- (3+ years)
- Experience applying Responsible AI principles, such as fairness, bias detection, and explainability, including conducting AI‑related risk assessments and providing mitigation recommendations to senior leadership (1+ year).
