At Groupe Nordik, the CMMS Systems Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and continuous evolution of maintenance systems.
With a robust focus on projects, continuous improvement, and structuring, this role is responsible for validating the quality of data within Websynco, analyzing gaps, and implementing the necessary actions to address them.
As a CMMS expert, this individual serves as an internal reference for cross-functional teams, providing operational support while driving the optimization of practices and processes.
The role also involves structuring the use of the CMMS, strengthening standards, and supporting teams in adopting best practices to ensure efficient, consistent, and scalable maintenance operations across Groupe Nordik.
Responsibilities
With a focus on optimization, structuring, and continuous improvement of the CMMS, the specialist will:
- Structure, optimize, and continuously evolve the use of Websynco to ensure alignment with operational needs and organizational objectives.
- Act as a CMMS subject matter expert and internal partner by translating business needs into practical, sustainable, and field-adapted solutions.
- Define, implement, monitor, and evolve standards, processes,
and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent and rigorous maintenance management practices.
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities through system data analysis, and lead action plans to achieve performance and compliance objectives.
- Ensure the sustainability of implemented solutions by establishing governance, monitoring mechanisms, and continuous improvement practices.
- Support CMMS implementation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives, guiding teams through the adoption of tools and best practices.
- Review, standardize, and enhance data structures, work order templates, and maintenance schedules to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct system usage analyses and audits with a focus on optimization and value creation rather than control.
- Act as a key point of contact for users by providing strategic guidance, targeted training, and value-added recommendations.
- Contribute actively to CMMS governance and the ongoing evolution of related processes.
Technical and Functional Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including hands-on exposure to a CMMS and involvement in maintenance-related implementation, optimization, or structuring projects.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM,
etc.).
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes (preventive, corrective, predictive).
- Experience with data management and analysis tools (SQL, advanced Excel; Power BI is an asset).
- Understanding of ERP workflows related to maintenance, procurement, and inventory management.
- Ability to configure, maintain, and optimize the Websynco system.
- Experience in user training and support.
- Project management skills for system upgrades, implementations, or migrations.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required to support operations outside Quebec.
