Our client is seeking a contract based Senior Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture and design of scalable Digital/iGaming platforms, integrating cloud, AI, and event-driven systems to deliver high-performance, secure, and future-ready solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.

Location: Toronto (5d/week)

Duration: 1yr

Responsibilities:

- Own and evolve the Digital/iGaming architecture across applications, data, integrations, and Mar Tech ecosystem
- Design scalable, resilient solutions using modern patterns (microservices, event-driven, API-first, serverless)
- Produce and maintain key architecture artifacts (SA, SAD, integration diagrams, DRP/FRP)
- Review and validate solution designs to ensure alignment with business requirements, roadmap, and enterprise standards
- Define solution sourcing strategies (build vs buy vs partner) to optimize delivery and cost efficiency
- Design and integrate AI-enabled solutions (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agents) into enterprise platforms
- Translate business needs into practical AI use cases with clear ROI, KPIs, and measurable outcomes
- Ensure AI solutions meet security, privacy, and responsible AI standards
- Lead solution design across Agile teams, ensuring alignment from concept through delivery and production
- Support technical requirements gathering and guide developers on architecture and design decisions
- Oversee end-to-end solution lifecycle, ensuring smooth transition to production




- Partner with Product Owners, Architecture, and Enterprise IT to align on roadmap and priorities
- Lead technical design sessions with vendors and approve architecture deliverables
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve architecture practices, tools, and delivery methodologies
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance scalability, performance, and innovation
- Contribute to Digital Technology Roadmap and AI feasibility/value assessments

Requirements:

- 8+ years designing complex Digital/iGaming, online, or high-scale B2C platforms
- 6+ years hands-on cloud architecture experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Solid expertise in solution architecture (SA/SAD/DRP) and enterprise system design
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
- Solid understanding of AI/ML and GenAI architectures (LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt design)
- Experience with data platforms (data lakes, pipelines, governance) and cloud AI services
- Proficiency with modern tech stack (Java Script, Python, Java, SQL, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in Agile environments with Product Owners and cross-functional teams
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Nice to have: iGaming/Mar Tech experience and certifications (TOGAF, CCSP)
