Job title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Duration of the Contract: 12 Months

Locations: Edmonton or Calgary

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and execution of expansion and maintenance capital projects within the Oil & Gas sector. This role will oversee engineering service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, technical specifications, and operational reliability requirements while maintaining project budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage relationships and contracts with engineering service providers
- Lead design reviews ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support material specification, vendor evaluation, and procurement activities
- Provide planning and scheduling support for design and procurement phases
- Offer technical support throughout project lifecycle including development, construction, and commissioning




- Ensure incorporation of red-line markups into as-built drawings
- Support scope development, cost estimates, execution planning, and risk identification
- Collaborate with Operations on incident investigations and post-project support
- Review lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future designs
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support team initiatives

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Qualified Engineer (P. Eng) designation
- Experience in engineering design and commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry

Preferred Qualifications

- Project Management and/or Field experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
