Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Emergency Room

Professional Summary

We are urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Emergency Room at a healthcare facility in Fort Nelson, British Columbia. This short‑term travel contract is ideal for an LPN with solid ER experience who can thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment while delivering safe, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Conduct patient assessments, monitoring, and timely documentation
- Assist physicians and RNs with emergency procedures and interventions
- Administer medications and treatments within LPN scope of practice
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changing patient conditions
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

️ Schedule

- Rotational shifts as per facility requirements

Qualifications

✔ Active registration and good standing with BCCNM (or eligibility)

✔ Previous Emergency Room experience strongly preferred





✔ Current BLS and ACLS certification (mandatory)

✔ CTAS certification Preferred

✔ Strong clinical judgment and emergency care knowledge

✔ Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
- Contract Duration: ASAP – July 22
- Overtime: As per provincial guidelines (1.5x regular pay)
- Holiday Pay: As applicable

- Travel reimbursement for approved expenses
