My client is hiring a Mechanical Service Manager to join their established service, maintenance and warranty division.
My client is an established full service mechanical contractor who has been in operation for over 40 years. They have a new build division as well as a service, maintenance and warranty division.
They are looking for a leader to come in a head up the division of multiple technicians.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide overall direction for day-to-day service operations, supporting field staff and technical teams
- Organize and execute maintenance programs, service work, and warranty-related activities
- Guide team performance to meet targets and goals
- Foster solid client partnerships through consistent, high-quality service delivery
- Handle client feedback and concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
- Pursue new business opportunities in service agreements and lead contract negotiations
- Maintain compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and internal procedures
- Direct workflow planning, including technician allocation and service coordination
- Oversee operational administration such as:
- Logging and monitoring service requests
- Financial tracking of projects and billing processes
- Managing outstanding payments
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Coordinate purchasing of tools, parts, and required resources
- Evaluate existing processes and introduce improvements to streamline operations
- Analyze service trends to identify repeat issues and implement corrective actions
- Review completed work to ensure it meets quality expectations and service standards
- Participate in onboarding and development of new team members
Requirements
- Must have experience in a service management role
- Coming from a plumbing or HVAC background would be best
- Open to other forms of construction in service
- Strong communication, written and verbal
- Experience leading a team and tracking metrics
- Good business understanding in terms of profit and loss
- Able to generate business and grow the division
Compensation
- Base Salary $100,000 - $110,000
- 4 weeks’ vacation
