Regional Field Quality Coordinator (Contract)

Location: Regina, SK or Sherwood Park, AB

Start Date: May 2026

⏳ Duration: 1‑Year Contract

Work Arrangement: Office‑based position (approximately 90% office / 10% field)

Position Overview

A leading pipeline operator is seeking a Regional Field Quality Coordinator to support pipeline maintenance and project activities across the Prairie Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba).

This role provides Quality Control (QC) execution and Quality Assurance (QA) oversight, ensuring maintenance and project work is planned, executed, and documented in alignment with the established quality management program, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Execution & Oversight

- Provide QC execution and QA oversight for pipeline maintenance and project activities in accordance with the organizational quality program.
- Perform QC verification activities to ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, assess, and report on quality performance; identify issues, trends, and risks; and support timely resolution.

Documentation & Records Management

- Develop, review, manage, and control quality documentation, including:
- Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Pressure test plans
- Weld and NDE matrices
- Inspection packages and turnover documentation
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and controlled retention of QA/QC records, including redline as‑built drawings.

Non‑Conformance & Continuous Improvement

- Prepare, issue, and manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)



through the internal quality reporting system.
- Develop and track Corrective Action Plans, Preventative Action Plans, and Root Cause Analyses.
- Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective and preventative actions.

Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination

- Review vendor, supplier, and contractor quality documentation for completeness and conformance.
- Coordinate quality audits, assessments, and surveillance activities and ensure findings are addressed and closed.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and external stakeholders to resolve quality or documentation issues.

Scope of Work

- Perform QA reviews of Supplier Quality Management Plans, material requisitions, and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Provide quality management subject‑matter expertise throughout project planning, execution, and close‑out.
- Support field documentation turnover activities, including compilation of records and redlining of as‑built drawings.
- Verify supplier quality practices meet documentation, records management, and retention requirements.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

Required

- Related university degree with 4+ years of experience,



or 8+ years of QA/QC experience in pipeline construction and/or maintenance.
- CSA 178.2 Level II certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Bluebeam.

Preferred

- NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level II certification.

Working Conditions

- Approximately 90% office‑based with 10% field presence, subject to project needs.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Field work may involve exposure to environmental conditions and requires appropriate PPE.
