About the Role
Our consulting client is seeking a Senior Sail Point Engineer with strong experience in Sail Point File Access Manager (FAM) to support enterprise Identity and Access Management initiatives.
The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Sail Point FAM solutions, integrating enterprise applications, and helping drive identity governance strategy within a large-scale enterprise environment.
This role requires strong expertise in Sail Point IdentityIQ, IAM protocols, enterprise integrations, and automation scripting, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional security, governance, and infrastructure teams.
The position follows a hybrid work model in Toronto (3–4 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities
• Design, engineer, deploy, and support Sail Point File Access Manager (FAM) as part of the Provisioning and Identity Management platform.
• Work with business partners, integration consultants, and internal teams to integrate and onboard applications onto the Sail Point FAM platform.
• Collaborate with governance, risk, HR, and enterprise technology teams to define IAM strategies and technology roadmaps.
• Translate business, application, and security requirements into technical IAM architecture and engineering designs.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Sail Point FAM, providing guidance on best practices and integration standards.
• Partner with security, operations, architecture, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of IAM engineering initiatives.
• Act as the third-line escalation point for Sail Point FAM IAM services,
performing deep troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Work with vendors to resolve software, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain technical documentation including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Develop operational documentation and provide training to support teams.
• Review work performed by consultants and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Identify opportunities to improve IAM processes through automation and innovation.
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience for over 8 years implementing, configuring, and supporting Sail Point File Access Manager (FAM)
• Solid experience with Sail Point IdentityIQ in enterprise environments
• Experience integrating Sail Point solutions within large corporate IAM environments
• Strong understanding of:
- User lifecycle management
- Provisioning workflows
- Identity lifecycle events
- Access governance
• Working knowledge of IAM protocols including:
- SAML
- OpenID Connect
- OAuth
- LDAP
- Kerberos
• Strong programming and scripting experience including:
- Java
- Bean Shell
- JSP / Servlets
- Python
- Power Shell
- Unix Shell
- SQL / PL-SQL
• Experience working with:
- REST APIs
- Web Services
- JSON
- Application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
• Database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
• Experience with Active Directory and LDAP integrations
• Knowledge of SSO, MFA, Federation, and SCIM
• Experience working with Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX environments
Nice to Have
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of network infrastructure technologies including LAN, WAN, Firewall, and VPN
• Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to IAM
