Job Summary

The Director of Finance and Administration will be a critical member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial health, planning, and administrative operations of the company. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader dedicated to maximizing financial returns, maintaining compliance, and driving overall business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Management

- Lead and account for all aspects of profit and loss (P&L;) management and company financial results, including short-term and long-term planning.
- Direct all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and expense control activities.
- Manage the assigned category budgets and aim to achieve annual sales and profit objectives.
- Oversee treasury and cash management, ensuring proactive management to deliver sales and margin, while controlling shrink.
- Ensure full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant government legislation.
- Manage inventory carry costs and interact regularly with pricing analytics to maintain price competitiveness versus targeted indexes.
- Oversee fixed assets and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system management.

Administration and Leadership

- Manage, train, motivate,



and appraise direct reports within the finance and administrative functions.
- Provide coaching and direction to the finance team and mentor others as opportunities arise.
- Oversee general administrative functions including office management, facilities, and ensuring efficient operation of the head office.
- Lead with dedication to employee engagement and development.
- Proactively communicate financial strategies to leadership, cross-functional teams, and other divisions of the company.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA is strongly preferred).
- Proven experience as a Director of Finance, Financial Controller, or similar senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in the food, retail, or manufacturing industry is highly desirable, with a deep understanding of P&L; performance, cost controls, and inventory/supply chain dynamics.
- Strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, financial reporting, and ERP systems.
- Must be able to work in office daily at the Mississauga head office

Salary Range $130,000 -$160,000 + bonus
