About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven, entrepreneurial, and relationship-oriented Director, Corporate Development to build and scale a national referral and partnership ecosystem. This is a builder role—focused on identifying, activating, and growing networks of professionals who can introduce qualified investors to Lankin. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong personal network, a relentless drive to win, and the creativity to develop partnership strategies that unlock new capital channels.
Responsibilities
Relationship & Network Development
- Build and expand a high-value network of referral partners including:
Financial advisors/wealth managers
- Real estate professionals
- Mortgage brokers
- Accountants and lawyers
- Business owners and entrepreneurs
- Leverage existing personal relationships to drive immediate opportunity flow
- Establish long-term, trust-based partnerships that generate consistent investor introductions
Referral Channel Growth
- Identify and activate new referral channels across key professional networks
- Develop creative, “outside-the-box” approaches to engaging partners
- Continuously strengthen partner relationships to increase referral consistency and quality
Capital Introduction & Pipeline Growth
- Generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality investor introductions through partner networks
- Work closely with internal sales and capital markets teams to convert opportunities
- Track and manage referral performance and contribution to capital raised
Events, Community & Brand Building
- Host and organize:
- Investor events
- Partner networking events
- Educational seminars and webinars
- Act as a connector—bringing people together and strengthening Lankin’s investor community
- Represent Lankin at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing and Capital Markets to:
- Develop co-branded initiatives
- Support partner-specific campaigns
- Enhance investor experience and engagement
What Success Looks Like
- A growing, active network of high-performing referral partners
- Consistent flow of qualified investor introductions
- Meaningful contribution to capital raised through referral channels
- Strong presence in key qualified and investor communities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, capital raising, or a related field
- Proven ability to build and monetize relationships
- Strong existing network within one or more of the following:
- Wealth / financial advisory
- Real estate
- Professional services (legal/accounting)
- Entrepreneur/business owner communities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership and autonomy
- Creative thinker with the ability to execute unconventional growth strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Required Skills
- Experience with alternative investments, real estate funds, or exempt market products
- Dealer Representative license (preferred but not required)
- Experience hosting events, webinars, or community-building initiatives
