Law Clerk – Wills & Estates / Real Estate

Location: Brampton, Ontario

About the Firm

The Firm is a growing, entrepreneurial firm based in Vaughan, built with the goal of becoming a leading mid-sized firm in the GTA. Launched in 2025, the firm brings together a team of experienced litigators and solicitors across real estate, wills & estates, corporate, family, and litigation practices.

The firm offers a collaborative and energetic environment, with a strong emphasis on personality, client service, and business development. With continued growth across both solicitor and litigation groups, Boardwalk is looking to add strong support talent to help scale its practice.

The Opportunity

The Firm is seeking an experienced Law Clerk (5+ years) with a strong background in wills & estates and real estate to support its growing solicitor-side practice.

This is a client-facing role, ideal for a confident and detail-oriented clerk who is comfortable managing files, communicating directly with clients, and handling a high-volume workload across both practice areas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting lawyers while also operating with a high degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities

Wills & Estates

- Draft wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents
- Assist with estate administration, including probate applications
- Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties
- Manage estate files from intake through to completion

Real Estate (Asset)

- Prepare and manage real estate transaction documents, including APS, mortgage documents, statements of adjustments, and closing packages




- Conduct title and off-title searches using Teraview, OnLand, and related systems; review and report on title issues
- Coordinate residential and/or commercial closings, including liaising with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel
- Draft and review closing documents, requisition letters, and reporting letters
- Handle post-closing matters, including registrations, discharges, and file reporting to clients and lenders

Qualifications

- Minimum 3-5+ years of experience as a law clerk in wills & estates and/or real estate
- Robust experience managing files independently and handling client interactions
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a confident, professional presence

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000, depending on experience and cross-functional expertise
- 3 weeks vacation (with flexibility)
- Comprehensive benefits package (Sun Life – ~80% coverage)
- Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding firm

Work Arrangement

- First 3 months: fully in-office for onboarding and integration
- Post-probation: hybrid model with up to 2 days remote, depending on business needs
