Tekvaly is seeking a passionate and driven Quantum Computing Engineer for our client in Canada!

As a Quantum engineer, you may work across one or more of the following areas depending on your background and expertise: Algorithm design and simulation, application development, hardware research and experimentation, Quantum-classical system integration.

This role is for anyone who has worked or studied quantum, transitioning from academia or working in an adjacent engineering field. Those enrolled in MSc or PhD programs are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and contribute to developing quantum algorithms (VQE, QAOA, Shor, Grover, etc.).
- Design and build quantum applications using Qiskit, Cirq, Penny Lane, or Q#.
- Drive quantum hardware or experimental work (superconducting qubits, trapped ions, photonics).
- Implement quantum error correction or NISQ-based solutions.




- Integrate quantum systems with classical ML or HPC infrastructure.
- Develop and adapt creative methodologies to meet project goals.
- Work on complex problems requiring sound judgment and high accuracy.
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and shape the team's technical roadmap.

Requirements:

- Prior experience as a Quantum researcher, engineer, or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of Quantum computing concepts (qubits, gates, circuits, entanglement).
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Julia.
- Hands-on experience with at least one quantum framework (Qiskit, Cirq, Penny Lane, etc.).
- Exposure to one or more of: optics, nanofabrication, or cryogenics.
- Record of research accomplishments, publications, or presentations.
- IBM or Azure Quantum certifications will be a plus.
- Experience leading quantum projects or teams will be a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Background in Physics, Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
