Rate: CAD $50/hr - $60/hr.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Document Controller (Level 3) to support document management activities for a large‑scale construction program. The successful candidate will lead document control activities in Aconex, ensuring best‑practice governance across the full project lifecycle—from initiation through closeout, handover, and archiving.
This role supports a major infrastructure construction project, requiring close coordination with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
- Fluency in French (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in document control and administration
- Strong hands‑on experience with Aconex
- Proven experience implementing document management systems on construction projects
- Demonstrated support of design and construction projects from a document management perspective
- Experience covering the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to final delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Document Controller for the project using Aconex
- Implement and maintain a project‑wide document management system aligned with industry best practices
- Manage document workflows across design, construction, close‑out, and archiving phases
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external partners
- Ensure document compliance, version control, naming conventions, and metadata accuracy
- Generate custom system reports and adapt outputs to evolving project needs
- Support project handover activities and ensure proper document archiving
- Maintain tracking tools and registers outside of the DMS as required
