Job Title: Financial Data Analyst – Loan Transaction Coordination

Location: Montreal, QC (local candidates only)

Duration: 8+ Months Contract

Client Overview:

Department: Global Banking Americas – COO Office

This role sits within Credit & Portfolio Management Americas. The Loan Transaction Coordination team is a transversal function supporting the Corporate Platform with a focus on risk control, transaction execution, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Protection / Risk Mitigation & Data Analysis

- Assist in monitoring security package data quality indicators
- Conduct checks, investigate anomalies, and coordinate with internal teams
- Support Basel IV operational framework implementation
- Monitor collateral valuation freshness and insurance compliance

KPI and KRI Monitoring

- Support annual review monitoring and management reporting
- Track and escalate past dues (principal, interest, fees)
- Assist in resolving BAU exceptions (missing legal docs, overdue covenants, etc.)

Additional Responsibilities

- Support data remediation and ad hoc projects
- Contribute ideas for process improvement, automation, and efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team leaders to implement improvements

Required Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree (Finance / Data Analytics preferred)




- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Team player with a collaborative approach

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, data handling)
- Experience with data analysis / data management
- Knowledge of financial products / loan lifecycle / banking operations
- Ability to monitor KPIs, KRIs, and risk indicators
- Experience handling large datasets and reporting
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Basel IV / regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to collateral monitoring / credit risk / compliance processes
- Knowledge of VBA / automation tools
- Experience working with banking systems or financial platforms
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Prior experience in investment banking / corporate banking environment
