Junior Hardware Technician – Global Trading Environment
Location: Montreal (Onsite)
Salary: Up to $90,000 Total Comp (Depending on experience)
We’re working with a leading global trading firm looking for a Junior Hardware Technician to join their growing hardware services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with technology and wants to build a career in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up, configuring, and testing hardware to ensure it’s ready for use
- Building and maintaining test environments for new and existing equipment
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing faulty hardware, identifying root causes
- Managing returned equipment, including analysis and coordination with vendors
- Supporting internal teams with hardware setups and technical queries
Requirements:
- A hands-on interest in computer hardware and technology
- Understanding of PC components, networking basics, and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills when working with internal teams and suppliers
Nice to have:
- Exposure to electrical or electronic engineering concepts
- Experience with hardware testing, lab environments, or networking equipment
- Familiarity with tools used for tracking tasks or inventory
