Healthcare Platform Engineer - Remote
Are you a backend engineer who enjoys writing clean, scalable code and wants your work to have real impact?
We’re partnering with a Toronto-based health tech company transforming chronic wound care through cutting-edge Skin and Wound software. With 29+ million wound images and 5,200+ healthcare facilities using their platform globally, your code will directly support clinicians and improve patient outcomes.
Why This Role Is Different
You’ll build high-impact healthcare technology that directly improves clinician workflows and patient outcomes. You’ll influence architectural decisions, own features end-to-end, and help scale a platform trusted by thousands of healthcare organizations worldwide.
Compensation & Work Schedule
- $150,000–$180,000 (CAD) annual salary
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm
- Location: Remote
- Direct hire

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of C# / .NET development experience
- 3+ years working with cloud-based SaaS platforms
- Strong backend and API development experience
- Experience building platform-based or multi-tenant applications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Strong understanding of software design principles
- Eligibility to work in Canada
Preferred
- Healthcare interoperability experience (FHIR / HL7)
- Agile experience
- Python or data pipeline exposure
- Experience in quick-paced, collaborative environments
What You’ll Be Building
You’ll design and scale backend systems that power a global healthcare SaaS platform solving meaningful engineering challenges.
Your impact will include:
- Building scalable C# / .NET backend services
- Designing high-availability cloud systems (Azure preferred)
- Creating secure, performant APIs
- Optimizing system performance and reliability
- Collaborating in live problem-solving sessions
- Contributing to architectural decisions
