Test Environment Analyst (Contract)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (strong likelihood of extension)

Rate: $50–$55/hr (depends on expertise level)

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite

Location: North York until June 1, then moving to Downtown Toronto

Main Deliverables

- Stable, well-governed test environments supporting functional and non‑functional testing
- Reliable environment refreshes, deployments, and patching cycles
- Accurate environment monitoring, dependency visualization, and metrics
- Performance, load, and accessibility testing execution and reporting

Technical Stack

- Cloud, On‑Prem, and Hybrid infrastructure
- SQL (advanced scripting and database interaction)
- PowerBI (data mapping, analysis, reporting)
- JMeter (performance and load testing)
- Azure Dev Ops
- CI/CD pipelines
- Service Virtualization tools
- Environment Management platforms/tools
- Agile delivery frameworks

Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Environment Management
- Strong experience managing cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments
- Advanced SQL scripting and database integration knowledge
- Proven expertise with PowerBI for data analysis and reporting




- Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance/load testing
- Advanced working knowledge of Agile, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD, and service virtualization
- Deep understanding of workplace configuration, dependencies, and system integrations
- Experience supporting performance, load, and accessibility testing
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

- Lead test environment setup, maintenance, refreshes, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate environment bookings, deployments, and patching activities
- Monitor environments, application versions, and environment health metrics
- Maintain setting dependency and integration visualizations
- Support environment modeling and infrastructure/platform management
- Collaborate with development, technical, and support teams to resolve conflicts
- Support test data management activities
- Coordinate and execute non-functional testing initiatives
- Ensure adherence to environment management best practices and processes
