About the Role:

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Clearlight Energy accounting team, responsible for end-to-end financial reporting across a complex portfolio of entities, including subsidiaries and joint ventures. Core responsibilities include full-cycle accounting, audit coordination, lender reporting, and project-level financial analysis, while supporting continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls across a multi-entity consolidation environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure accurate, timely accounting and financial reporting for Clearlight Energy and its joint ventures in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of accruals and journal entries, cash postings and reconciliations, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of the general ledger.
- Prepare and support the preparation of financial statements and related note disclosures for audited and reviewed financial statements.
- Coordinate external audit processes, manage deliverables and timelines,



and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Prepare and maintain project-level debt reporting, including DSCR calculations, covenant compliance certificates, and lender reporting packages in accordance with credit agreement requirements.
- Support accounting and reporting for joint ventures and partnerships, including monthly reporting, cash distribution calculations, and equity pickup entries
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts across multiple legal entities and ensure proper elimination entries at consolidation
- Partner with project managers and operations teams to support the development and ongoing maintenance of annual project-level budgets and rolling forecasts, including tracking actuals versus plan, explaining variances, and providing actionable financial insight to support business decision-making.
- Lead or support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned, contributing to the broader success of the finance team.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting roles, preferably within energy or infrastructure environment
- CPA, CPA candidate or Big 4 accounting experience.
- Robust financial reporting and managerial accounting experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong skills with other Office 365 applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is an asset
