Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the advancement of ShipSavvy, in alignment with LogX Group’s overall strategy. You have a strong background in managing sales for recent business units or company divisions, focusing on domestic and international shipping for both B2B and B2C markets. You are a proactive and collaborative leader who will grow sales of both existing and new businesses for ShipSavvy. The Business Development Manager will spearhead new initiatives and strategically position ShipSavvy for future success. This role also includes managing staff and contractor relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Grow domestic and international shipping sales for both B2B and B2C markets.
- Promotes organizational growth and profitability through building relationships with B2B and B2C customers.
- Develops and implements strategies to grow sales by increasing volume and customers based on revenue targets.
- Attracts new business/clients and build solid relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Continually innovate, improve, and recommend new strategies for achieving efficiencies.
- Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to innovate customer experience and overall logistics capabilities to drive business outcomes and overall competitiveness, including a technical roadmap.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the customer-facing business lines, operations team, and customer service.
- Drive Business Development efforts resulting in new revenue streams based on revenue targets
- Work with the Product Lead and development team to help define product requirements that will drive new revenue and enable operational efficiencies.
- Collaboration with content management and design teams for marketing materials and UX designs
- Develop an annual budget that is aligned with company strategies.
- Set strategic objectives for the business unit that align with company goals and ensure that planning initiatives are implemented to maximize strategic growth.
- Develop strategic KPIs, performance metrics, and targets consistent with company goals.
- Establish and manage relationships with key internal and external operations partners and other stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the e-commerce or logistics industry.
- Deep experience in supply chain, distribution, 3rd party logistics, and inventory management - ideally across multiple Canadian and US hubs and potentially internationally.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborates with other executive management team members to align departmental strategy or direction with the organization's overall goals.
- Fluency with in-process improvement best practices to drive optimal client experience and efficiencies.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools.
- Passion for e-commerce and logistics.

- Must have driving license and own car
