Senior Product Designer

Location: Toronto, Canada (Office-based/Hybrid)

Focus: Team enablement

Bentley Systems is a leading infrastructure engineering software company that helps design, build, and operate resilient infrastructure worldwide. Within the Design organization, the Digital Design team creates high quality experiences across all touchpoints.

Responsibilities

- Shape the design system strategy for digital, working with the central Design Systems and Brand teams to define system application across the portfolio.
- Own UI quality across the digital experience, setting high standards for style, interaction, visual hierarchy, component use, motion, and accessibility.
- Drive day to day adoption of the design system, ensuring correct, consistent use of components and feeding friction points back to the central team.
- Coach and elevate the team's UI capability through critiques, knowledge sharing, and hands on collaboration.
- Act as the conduit between delivery teams and central design system teams, advocating practical improvements and communicating updates clearly.
- Explore and embed AI enabled efficiencies in UI practice to accelerate design work without compromising craft or brand integrity.
- Contribute as a senior practitioner on complex UI design challenges when needed.

Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in product or UX/UI design with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI craft across complex digital products.
- Deep expertise in design systems, including driving adoption, surfacing friction, and evolving the system.
- Robust coaching and craft leading skills that raise the bar without creating fear.




- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and practical application in delivery.
- Experience influencing multiple teams or portfolios simultaneously without direct authority.
- Fluency with Figma (component architecture, auto layout, variables, prototyping) and confidence with Miro and other design tooling.
- Curiosity about AI impacts on UI practice and judgment in applying it where appropriate.
- Clear communication skills for giving design feedback and translating system decisions into plain language.
- Collaborative mindset that upholds quality within realistic delivery constraints.
