Job Summary The successful candidate joining THE TEAM / Unilever Personal Care is an impassioned individual who is looking to make a measurable and positive impact on everything they do. They will harness the passion of sports & entertainment, FIFA specifically, and apply that to reactive marketing initiatives Office Policy - Hybrid - 3 days a week, minimum. Sitting in house at Unilever. Role Type - Temporary contract position Hours - not a typical 9-5 structure, will need to work weekends, game days, etc. and be open to a fluid routine throughout the games. This partnership focuses on empowering women's football, driving brand power, and promoting inclusivity, extending beyond the tournaments themselves. Role overview The PC demand generation team is seeking a Football Culture Strategist. An individual who deeply understands fan passion and cultural trends and can help PC brands authentically connect with football audiences.Someone with a strong and proven ability to develop insights into creative ideas that support commercial goals, with the ability to guide content/partnerships for maximum impact across digital/social platforms. In essence: You're the expert who knows why football (soccer) matters to fans and translates that passion into effective, authentic strategies and content for Personal Care brands, making them feel like a natural part of the football world, not just a sponsor. What You'll Do The successful candidate will have proven skills in the creative landscape, including the following: Key Skills Strategic thinking and planning, with a deep passion and expert knowledge of football (soccer) culture (on and off the pitch). Excellent Senior Stakeholder management with proven experience within a large organisation, platform or large agency. Expertise with social content strategy, influencer marketing and community management on behalf of enterprise brands Strong data analytical mindset and analytics understanding, with experience of social listening, analytics, and community management tools Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Clear understanding of the requirements and demands of an international role. Strong influencing skills and strong proven networking abilities. Ability to work independently or with an agency. Cultural fluency beyond just football Experience in brand strategy, sports marketing, or content strategy. Key Responsibilities Cultural Insight: Act as a cultural anthropologist,
researching fan behaviour, and real-time football conversations to find authentic insights to power social content on behalf of our brands & creators Strategic Development: Translate insights into clear, compelling strategies and content opportunities for PC brands, addressing brand, commercial, or audience challenges. Creative Guidance: Inspire brand creative teams and evaluate concepts to ensure they are culturally relevant, bold, and meet strategic goals. Commercial Acumen: Drive culture to cart, support top brands with opportunities to drive conversion Drive FIFA Culture within Unilever - promote FIFA culture /excitement and support planning and execution of several internal FIFA-themed during the tournament. What We're Looking For A strategist and a thought leader that leverages their skills to develop strong strategies and POVs that others adopt Football and social obsessed A "doer" with a social and commercial mindset who knows how to deliver tangible business results A collaborator who thrives on leading and working together with different teams and marketing specialities to execute best-in-class social strategies and plans with excellence and clarity Passionate about social culture, communities, and creators The confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment Advanced skills in Microsoft Office & Apple software, particularly in Keynote / PowerPoint and Excel Solid experience leading Social Media channels, Digital Marketing and/or e-commerce preferred 3-5+ years relevant freelance and/or industry experience Salary Range: $15,000-$23,000 CAD (3 month contract)Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
