Lead the summary advice counsel for self-represented litigants. Oversee legal support across multiple family courts while managing service improvement initiatives within the legal aid context. In this role, you will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and play a pivotal part in delivering legal advice to those representing themselves in family law matters. You will manage service delivery across thirteen sites and collaborate with court and legal staff. Your work will focus on reinforcing service efficiency, creating policy documentation, and implementing better technology for legal access. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee multiple family court sites in Nova Scotia • Develop and manage necessary documentation for services • Coordinate effectively with court and legal staff • Prepare semi-annual and annual service reports • Provide legal aid to self-represented family law litigants Requirements: • LLB or JD Degree required • Practicing member in good standing for 5+ years • Extensive litigation experience across all court levels • Robust communication and leadership skills • Experience in resource and financial management Elevate access to justice for individuals in family law, ensuring effective service delivery through innovative solutions and collaborative efforts.
