We are also the only company in the world that offers these energy control coating on polymeric materials in addition to glass. Our chemistry is based on earth abundant environmentally friendly materials.
NxLite has just completed its development stage and is now a revenue producing company looking to demonstrate its ability to grown revenue and profitability. Our facilities are in Canton, Michigan and Toronto, Ontario.
Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for strategic financial management, and financial governance. This individual will ensure the company's financial systems, reporting, and controls support rapid growth, manufacturing execution, and regulatory compliance.
The CFO will also partner closely with the CEO and Board to develop financial strategies, guide capital allocation, and communicate company performance to investors.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning with growth, manufacturing ramp-up, and commercialization milestones.
- Provide forward-looking financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions and capital planning.
- Lead financial due diligence and modeling for equity raises, debt financing, and investor relations.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape long-term business plans and profitability goals.
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting functions under U.S. GAAP; ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the annual external audit process, coordinating with independent auditors.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures are designed and maintained.
- Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidations between the U.S. parent and Canadian R&D; subsidiary.
- Monitor currency, tax, and transfer pricing implications of cross-border activities.
- Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.
Operations & Systems
- Oversee budgeting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial controls, including inventory valuation and production cost analysis.
- Partner with operations to optimize cash flow management, working capital, and capital expenditure planning.
- Implement scalable ERP and financial reporting systems suitable for manufacturing growth.
- Support pricing, margin analysis, and contract review for new customer onboarding.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing or advanced technology sectors preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing cross-border (U.S.-Canada) entities and intercompany accounting.
- Proven ability to present to Boards, manage investors, and support fundraising.
- Hands on experience with financial systems implementation and cost accounting in a startup or scale up environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
