The Director, External Relations is responsible for developing NSCC's corporate outreach strategy and overseeing the vetting, contacting, and procuring of both monetary and in kind sponsorships for the Conference. Furthermore, the Director, External Relations will be responsible for overseeing the Associate, External Relations in meeting ER objectives.

Time Commitment
- April-August: 15-20 hours per week
- September-October: 10-15 hours per week
- November (pre-conference): 10-15 hours per week
Term of Employment
April 2026 - February 2027
Main Responsibilities
- Create the sponsorship package and reach out to potential sponsors for the Conference
- Pitch, present, and/or discuss the details of the NSCC sponsorship package and related NSCC materials to potential partners through emails, cold and warm calls, and in-person coffee chats
- Negotiate with firms and secure monetary and in kind sponsorship for the conference
- Maintain communication with firms throughout the duration of the term
- Spearhead the search and active pursuit of securing 1-2 engaging keynote speakers for the conference and competition
- Recruit and curate delegates, keynotes,
workshop leaders, and participating firms for NSCC's networking events, workshops, panels, keynotes, and competition
- Help organize NSCC's pre competition events (Consulting 101, Ace the Case, etc)
- Draft MOUs, and partnership agreements between NSCC and various companies with required details
- Lead the Associate, External Relations in meeting objectives
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills
- Self motivated, professional individual who is able to work with a high level of autonomy
- Flexible, and able to accommodate the schedules of potential partners for coffee chats and meetings
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an exemplary attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is an asset
- Past corporate relations and sponsorship procurement experience is an asset
