Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing Shared Service, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services across the supply chain through close collaboration with central procurement, planning, scheduling, and production teams.The successful candidate will proactively forecast material and service requirements, drive supplier performance optimization, and support effective inventory management practices to meet operational demands and align with business objectives. Your responsibilities in this role: Material Planning & Forecasting: Analyze purchasing data from ERP systems to proactively identify material requirements for future production needs, ensuring optimal stock levels. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel) for data analysis, stock ordering, and project-based purchasing activities to support decision-making. Production & Delivery Coordination: Understand the production delivery chain and monitor material availability to ensure on-time delivery to meet production schedules. Material Availability & Process Improvement: Continuously track material availability, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement system-led improvements for enhanced efficiency. End-to-End Logistics: Oversee the inbound flow of materials and manage the dispatch of finished goods to external customers, ensuring smooth goods receipt, product testing schedules,



and prompt resolution of non-conforming products. Risk Management: Identify and assess material-related risks, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential disruptions or delays in the supply chain. Stock Management: Coordinate the management of slow-moving, redundant, and obsolete stock, ensuring that inventory is optimized for efficiency. Make/Buy Decision Support: Provide input on make/buy decisions based on operational capacity and strategic sourcing considerations. MRP Support: Advise cross-functional teams on data enrichment needs to support MRP output, ensuring that material planning is aligned with business requirements. Other duties as assigned. Apply if you have most of the following: A degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years' experience in procurement, operations, or a similar supply chain role. Expertise in ERP and MRP systems; experience with IFS ERP is a plus. Strong numeracy and data management skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel. Robust communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights clearly. Capable of working under pressure and managing competing demands to meet deadlines. Demonstrated tenacity, resilience,



and the ability to influence others in cross-functional teams. Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain planning is essential.Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
