Team Player - Utilize your proven track record of developing and sustaining good working relationships. You will work closely with your colleagues within the Legal Department and amongst the various internal partner groups within the Bank (lines of business, Communications, Compliance, Risk etc.). You will work closely with outside counsel from an approved counsel list to actively and efficiently manage fraud and litigation matters. Legal Advice & Counsel - Provide proactive, responsive and sound advice and management to all Canadian lines of business to assist with the mitigation of legal and reputational risk. You will be highly responsive and provide strategic legal advice in relation to fraud and litigation matters. An ability to speak French is an asset but not required. You're a certified qualified. You have been called to the Bar in Ontario and are a member in good standing. You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way. You act like an owner. You can demonstrate experience in & have a minimum of 5 years of progressive and proven track record as a legal advisor with a top tier law firm or a major corporation.
