Position Overview

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking a results‑driven and experienced Sales Manager to support the General Manager in overseeingall activities within the New and Used Sales Departments. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing sales operations, ensuring sales teams meet performance targets, and maintaining the highest dealershipstandards.

The Sales Manager will lead all training and developmentinitiatives for sales staff, maintain administrative accuracy, and upholddealership processes. Working closely with sales teams, departmental leaders,and the General Manager, this role ensures strong customer satisfaction,effective sales execution, and consistent achievement of departmental goals.





Compensation for this position is commission based.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish long‑and short‑range goals forassigned sales staff.
- Guide salespeople in setting and achievingindividual objectives.
- Recommend optimal new vehicle inventory based onsales rate and stock levels.
- Set gross profit and sales objectives andmonitor weekly performance.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and expensemanagement for the New/Used Car Department.
- Communicate and enforce dealership policies andprocedures.
- Conduct daily one‑on‑one meetings and assistsalespeople with customers.
- Ensure sales staff plan daily activities usingCRM (calls, emails, appointments).
- Hire, train, motivate, and manage performance ofall new/used vehicle sales employees.
- Evaluate monthly sales performance and completequarterly reviews.
- Develop individualized training and improvementplans.
- Conduct daily/weekly sales and manufacturertraining sessions.
- Support programs to increase new/used car grossand F&I; penetration.
- Hold sales staff accountable for CRM usage andprospecting efforts.
- Coordinate sales operations with Service, Parts,and Business Office.
- Assist in planning programs to support staff inreaching objectives.




- Handle sales staff concerns and recommenddismissal when necessary.
- Review customer follow-up and ensure plannedcontact through CRM.
- Review sales records to identify performancetrends.
- Support dealership image through coordinatedsales initiatives.
- Assist in advertising campaigns and promotions.
- Collaborate with other Sales Managers forprofessional development.

Qualifications Required

- Minimum of 5 years of Sales Manager experience in an automotive dealership environment is required.
- Proven automotive sales management experience (new and/or used vehicles).
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching, andinterpersonal abilities.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations,sales processes, and inventory planning.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales trackingtools.
- Ability to evaluate performance and createeffective development plans.
- Strong organizational and time‑managementskills.
- Ability to enforce policies, maintainaccountability, and uphold high standards.
- Robust problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focusedmindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively acrossmultiple dealership departments.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
