Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, collaborates with HR and Finance to streamline processes, maintains internal controls, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of payroll systems. The successful candidate will have good leadership skills and a robust understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards. They will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can work effectively with various department leaders. Main responsibilities include:

- Lead the payroll team and manage daily operations
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll for all employees
- Coach and support team members, monitoring performance
- Maintain compliance with company policies and tax/employment regulations
- Process earnings, benefits, deductions, and adjustments
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and year-end documentation
- Act as the main contact for complex payroll questions
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data




- Streamline payroll processes and improve systems for efficiency
- Maintain internal controls, audit reports, and detailed payroll records
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements
- Participate in payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvements

Qualifications

The main qualifications for this role include:

- Completed PCP certification is considered a strong asset
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive payroll experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Excellent understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards, including tax laws and regulations
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Excel

How You Will Be Rewarded

- $75,000 - $100,000 salary range
