Drive forest management initiatives as a Lead Forester focused on sustainability and safety. Play a pivotal role in executing forest strategies, overseeing silviculture, and enhancing operational excellence.
This position seeks an experienced RPF to foster a culture of accountability in forestry planning. You will standardize and coordinate vital strategies while managing and training teams dedicated to silviculture and planning. Engage with First Nations and government stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental policies and support long-term timber supply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety and environmental stewardship initiatives
• Develop and implement annual harvest plans
• Mentor Foresters and planning personnel
• Maintain relationships with First Nations and agencies
• Oversee compliance with silviculture program obligations
Requirements:
• 10+ years in Forestry Planning
• Degree in Forestry or related field
• Current RPF accreditation required
• Coastal forestry experience preferred
• Proficient in relevant forestry software
