Role Overview
As an Account Executive, you will sell new business while managing and growing your client portfolio through the value of CoStar products. This consultative role empowers you to build relationships, engage new clients, and oversee the entire sales process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by promoting the value of our products to the commercial real estate industry and beyond.
- Account Management: Effectively manage and expand your portfolio of clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and growth through tailored solutions.
- Develop expertise in CoStar’s products and the commercial real estate market.
- End-to-End Sales Process: Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, product demonstrations, closing, onboarding, training, and renewals.
- Building Relationships: Conduct in-person meetings and deliver product demos to brokers, owners, corporations, investors, and other commercial real estate professionals.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent CoStar at industry events and cultivate long‑term relationships and a professional network.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, non‑profit,
in‑person college or university.
- Track record of commitment to prior employers and proven success in exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in client management and post‑sale support.
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check before start.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful outside sales experience in a B2B workplace selling data, research, and analytic platforms or tools, commercial real estate, financial services, business intelligence, marketing, information providers, or related fields.
- Client‑facing experience in the commercial real estate industry (strongly preferred).
- Strong consultative selling skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Interest in the commercial real estate market and willingness to develop expertise in CoStar’s product suite.
- Success in managing client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Results‑driven mindset focused on customer satisfaction and market knowledge.
